Ever progressive in our quest to achieve the highest possible standards, Acumen in conjunction with our staff and customers, designed and had built, offices at a new growing industrial park in Manchester, and Preston from which we now operate.

With a purpose built office area, storage, refurbishment and distribution facility, and with ever improving quality procedures, Acumen Seals are well placed to meet our customer’s requirements.

Accordingly, Acumen’s facilities are fully equipped with well trained and qualified staff, enabling testing and analysis of a wide range of mechanical seals, using instruments such as monochromatic lights, optical flats, ultrasonic cleaners etc.

Acumen Seals do not work dual standards and whether the products in question are mechanical seals, packings or O Rings, the same high standards of quality control and documentation apply.

With a fully customised database program, Acumen Seals are able to document all customer contact and history and can carry customer’s specific stock requirements and deliver on time.

Along with a broad range of products available from any one supplier, Acumen Seals also have full design and build capabilities, offering seals to suit the customer’s own specifications. Large stocks are held at both Manchester and Preston with delivery available 24 hours a day, all year round.

In house expertise enables us to identify problem-sealing applications and find cost effective and economic solutions. This can often involve complete redesign and subsequent manufacture of special seal.
