Camlock couplings are only as reliable as the gasket inside them. Specify the wrong material and you're looking at chemical degradation, coupling leakage, or contamination of the very process you're trying to protect. FEP encapsulated Camlock gaskets are engineered to remove that risk entirely.
What Makes Them Different
Most sealing failures in cam and groove couplings come down to one of two things: the elastomer can't handle the process fluid, or a solid PTFE gasket has crept under load and lost its sealing force. FEP encapsulated gaskets address both.
The construction is simple but effective a rectangular elastomeric core, either Silicone or Viton™/FKM, fully wrapped in an FEP outer layer. The FEP handles the chemistry. The elastomeric core handles the mechanics. Together they outperform both solid PTFE and unprotected rubber across the widest possible range of conditions.
Where They're Used
These gaskets are specified across bulk liquid transfer applications in demanding sectors including food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical distribution, and petrochemical storage. Anywhere process integrity, chemical resistance, and non-contamination matter these are the right choice.

Why Choose Acumen Seals for FEP Encapsulated Camlock Gaskets?
Specify once, seal everything
One gasket material compatible across your full range of process fluids, eliminating the need to manage multiple elastomer specifications.
No cold flow. No leakage
The elastomeric core energiser maintains consistent compression load, preventing the creep and cold flow failures that plague solid PTFE gaskets.
Fits first time, every time
The non-stick FEP surface has a low coefficient of friction, making installation and removal straightforward even in high-cycle applications.
Compliant where it counts
FDA and EC 1935/2004 compliant encapsulation, suitable for direct food contact, pharmaceutical processing, and sanitary applications requiring sterilisation.
Backed by 36 years of sealing knowledge
You're not buying off a catalogue. Every enquiry is handled by a specialist who understands your application, not a sales desk.
The right answer, not the easiest one
If an FEP encapsulated gasket isn't the correct solution for your conditions, we'll tell you that before you order.
